Across our islands, energy efficiency and resource-conscious operations are embedded into daily practices. At The Nautilus Maldives, 704 solar panels generate approximately 430,000 kWh of clean energy annually, significantly reducing carbon emissions. Energy-saving lighting, low-impact materials, and the removal of single-use plastics are integrated across operations. Coral restoration programmes at Kandima Maldives, Nova Maldives, and The Nautilus invite guests to actively participate in reef regeneration through coral planting and adoption initiatives. In South Ari Atoll, Nova also promotes responsible interactions with whale sharks and manta rays through educational sessions and guided experiences.

At Kandima, organic waste such as coconut husks and garden materials is repurposed into mulch to enrich soil and reduce water consumption. The elimination of single-use plastics, responsible sourcing, and eco-friendly cleaning products further support efforts to minimise environmental impact while maintaining operational efficiency.
